Heather MacIsaac was born in Ontario, Canada. She started her ballet education at a private school in her hometown. From 2000 until 2007 she attended the National Ballet School of Canada and then danced one year with the company. In 2008 she came to Stuttgart to continue her education at the John Cranko Schule. She graduated in 2009.
In the 2009/10 season Heather MacIsaac joined the Stuttgart Ballet as an apprentice, in 2010/11 she was taken into the Corps de ballet.
