Mariya Batman was born in Donetsk, Ukraine. She received her ballet education at a private school in her home town. In 2007 she came to Stuttgart to continue her education at the John Cranko Schule where she graduaded in 2009.
In the 2009/10 season Mariya Batman joined the Stuttgart Ballet as an apprentice, in 2010/11 she was taken into the Corps de ballet.
