Robert Robinson was born on the Isle of Wight, Great Britain. At the age of six years he started his ballet training at the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance. In 2006 he went to the Elmhurst School of Dance before he came to the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart in 2008. There he graduated in 2011.
In the season 2011/12 he became an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet, one season later he was taken into the Corps de ballet.
