Katarzyna Kozielska

Katarzyna Kozielska was born in Zabrze, Poland. She received her first ballet training at the State Ballet School in Beuthen. In 1999 she attended the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart where she graduated one year later.

In 2000/01, Katarzyna Kozielska joined the Stuttgart Ballet as an apprentice. She was taken into the Corps de ballet in 2001/02 and promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2006/07.

For the Noverre-Society’s “Young Choreographers” in July 2011 Katarzyna Kozielska created Der richtige Ort for four Stuttgart Ballet dancers which was celebrated by the audience and critics. Since then Der richtige Ort has been shown at various occasions such as Aktion Weihnachten and the Stuttgart Nacht. One year later her second choreography Blender for four Stuttgart Ballet dancers followed. For a Benefit Performance in support of the new building of the John Cranko Schule she choreographed the Pas de deux Deux for the Principal Dancers Alicia Amatriain and Jason Reilly. In October 2012 the Pas de deux Finger for Principal Dancer Elizabeth Mason and Jesse Fraser (Corps de ballet) followed.
