Rachele Buriassi was born in Sarzana, Italy. She began her dance training at the age of four at the Scuola di Danza 4 Movimento, a private school in Sarzana. In 2000 she started to study at the Ecole de Danse de Cannes/France Rosella Hightower. In 2002 she continued her education at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart and graduated in 2006. Rachele Buriassi took part in different competitions. In 2005 she won the second prize at the Tanzolymp Berlin and in 2006 the special prize “Wish will” at the Vaganova Grand Prix Russia.
In the season 2006/07 Rachele Buriassi joined the Stuttgart Ballet’s Corps de ballet. In 2010/11 she was promoted to Demi Soloist. Her promotion to Soloist followed in the season 2012/13.
In March 2009 Rachele Buriassi and William Moore received an invitation to the renowned Erik Bruhn Prize in Canada, where they performed La Grande Parade du Funk, choreographed by Bridget Breiner on that occasion, and the Pas de deux in the Third Act from Swan Lake (John Cranko).
