Christian Pforr was born in Boston (USA) and grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts. He began his ballet training at the age of 12 at the Bookline Ballet School. In 2011 he went to the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York City before he attended the Ballettschule des Hamburg Ballett in 2013. One year later he joined the Boston Ballet School from which he graduated in 2016.

After graduating Christian Pforr became a member of Boston Ballet II where he danced until 2018. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he became a member of Stuttgart Ballet’s Corps de ballet.

Christian Pforr took part in several competitions. In 2013 he was a participant at the Prix de Lausanne, in 2016 at the Helsinki International Ballet Competition. At the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in 2017 he received a prize for the „ Best compulsory classical variation”.
