Vita
José Costa was born in Porto, Portugal. In 2012 he began his ballet education at the Conservatorio de Dança do Vale de Sousa. In 2015 he moved to Lisbon to continue his education at the Escola Artistica de Dança do Conservatório Nacional. In 2019 he came to Stuttgart and attended the John Cranko School from which he graduated in 2022.
In 2015 and 2016 he participated in the CIB Concurso Internacional de Bailado do Porto, in 2016 he won the second place. In 2018 he took part in the Vaganova-Prix Ballet Competition:
During the 2022/23 season José Costa is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
