Big drama for the big screen: On the 50th anniversary of John Cranko's death, there is no doubt that Onegin has to be shown for Ballet in the Park. The free public viewing has established itself as a Stuttgart summer highlight since 2007 and attracts thousands of visitors to the park in which the opera house is situated every year. Under the open sky, on picnic blankets, with children, grandparents or best friends, viewers can enjoy the dramatic story of unrequited love. The next morning, the John Cranko School gives its all to thrill the outdoor audience. From the smallest Ballet Rats to the graduating class of the Academy, they show what they have learned in classical and modern pieces. Whether already a ballet fan or an absolute novice, whether young or old, Ballet in the Park promises “Ballet for All”.
