On Sunday, April 18th at 6 pm (CET), a livestream of Noverre: Young Choreographers will be presented from the Schauspielhaus of the State Theater Stuttgart. The evening will feature world premieres by seven of the company's dancers on the Stuttgart Ballet website and YouTube channel. It will subsequently be available as video-on-demand through April 22nd. The livestream is free of charge and made possible thanks to EnBW, a long-time supporter of the Stuttgart Ballet.

Noverre: Young Choreographers, which is extremely popular in Stuttgart where it has achieved cult-status over the last fifty years, is hereby made available to the whole world for the first time. At a time when the dance and theater world is being hit particularly hard, Artistic Director Tamas Detrich is all the more keen to offer young dancer-choreographers a platform on which they can develop creatively. Participation in Noverre: Young Choreographers is - as every year – voluntary. This year, dancers Aurora de Mori, Jessica Fyfe, Vittoria Girelli, Timoor Afshar, Shaked Heller, David Moore and Adrian Oldenburger have signed up and will create new works.

The Stuttgart-based "Noverre: Young Choreographers" project dates back to 1961 and is considered the first choreography platform worldwide. Young up-and-coming choreographers from the Stuttgart Ballet as well as from around the world are given the chance to present their debut works on stage. Year after year, they create, experiment and explore the craft of dance making; many famous choreographers literally created his or her first steps at Noverre, including John Neumeier, Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Christian Spuck, Marco Goecke, Bridget Breiner and Demis Volpi. But whether a work of genius, off the wall or simply nice, the pieces that see the light of day at Noverre: Young Choreographers contribute to the evolution of dance.
