An international ballet friendship which has lasted almost 50 years: in 1973, the Stuttgart Ballet traveled to Tokyo for the first time and since then, subsequent tours have taken the company to the Asian metropolis time and again. The Japanese love for classical ballet is legendary: for the Stuttgart Ballet it is always a great honor to perform for Japanese audiences. The company is all the more delighted to present two great works from the Stuttgart Ballet repertoire at the invitation of the NBS-Japan National Arts Foundation: John Cranko's masterpiece Onegin and Marcia Haydee's fairy-tale ballet The Sleeping Beauty.
