Nutcracker-Special

With the Stuttgart Ballet and the John Cranko School
In the 2022/23 edition of the beloved series “Behind the Scenes”, everything revolves around Edward Clug's The Nutcracker. In the intense late phase of rehearsals shortly before the premiere, the choreographer lets us look over his shoulder as he works. How does he go about creating such a large ballet? How are the steps for Clara and her Nutcracker created? How do the dancers of the Stuttgart Ballet and the children of the John Cranko School learn their parts? This “Behind the Scenes” opens the otherwise sacred gates and gives first insights into the eagerly awaited world premiere.
