Adia Sofia was born in Malaysia. She received her first ballet training as of 2011 at the Aurora School of Dance in Subang Yaya. In 2022 she trained with the Ballet Theatre Malaysia Scholars Program, in 2023 she went to KL Dance Works in Petaling Yaya. During her time there she participated in the Asian Grand Prix Finals in Hongkong where she won the 3rd prize.

In 2024 she moved to Stuttgart to complete her ballet training at the John Cranko School from which she graduated in summer 2026.

In the 2026/27 season Adia Sofia is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
