Ava Arbuckle was born in Frisco, Texas (USA). At the age of 2 she started dancing in all styles. At the age of 13 she began her pre-professional ballet training at a school in her hometown called Elite Classical Coaching. During this time she successfully participated in several competitions. In the years 2018 and 2019 she won the Youth America Grand Prix Award at the Texas Regional Competition of the Youth America Grand Prix as well as the Junior Silver Medal at the YAGP finals in New York City in 2019. Also in 2019 she won the Gold Medal (Junior Classical and Junior Contemporary) at the Youth International Ballet Competition (ADC IBC). At the Prix de Lausanne in 2020 she was awarded the Second Prize and the Best Young Talent and Artistry Award. Furthermore she won a scholarship and chose to attend the John Cranko School in Stuttgart from which she graduated in 2022.

During her time at the John Cranko School she performed at many galas worldwide: at the ADC IBC gala in Saint Petersburg, Florida (2021), at the Cancun Ballet Festival Gala (2021), at the YAGP Gala in Berlin (2021), at the „Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow“ YAGP Gala in Genoa, Italy (2021) and at the „Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow“ YAGP Gala at the Finals in Tampa, Florida (2022).

Since the 2022/23 season Ava Arbuckle is dancing in Stuttgart Ballet’s Corps de ballet.
