Moacir de Oliveira was born in Maringá (Brazil). He received his ballet training at the Academia Daisa Poltronieri in his home town and at the Teatro Guaira in Curitiba (1996 to 2001), as well as at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (2001-2006). In 2010 he graduated from the Conservatório Brasileiro de Dança in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2010 Moacir de Oliveira joined the Company of the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro and was promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer. He also was invited to ballet galas in Santiago de Chile, the Dominican Republic, Greece, and at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

At the beginning of the season 2017/18 he joined the Stuttgart Ballet as a Demi Soloist.
