Vita

Joana Romaneiro Kirn was born in Lisbon, Portugal. She received her first ballet lessons at the National Conservatory Dance School in her home town in 2003. In 2011 she came to the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart where she graduated in 2013. During her time at the Academy of the John Cranko Schule she already danced in several productions of the Stuttgart Ballet in the Corps de ballet.

She successfully participated in several competitions. She took part in the Dançarte International Competition in Algarve, Portugal, in the years 2006 to 2008 and achieved a second place two times. At the International Dance Festival Tanzolymp in Berlin 2010 she won the Bronze medal in the category „Modern Dance“. One year later she was Semi-Finalist at the Prix de Lausanne and received a scholarship for the John Cranko Schule.

In the season 2013/14 Joana Romaneiro Kirn became an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet, one season later she was taken into the Corps de ballet.
