Luana Pop was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She started her ballet training at the Liceul de Coregrafi şi Artǎ Dramaticǎ „Octavian Stroia“.

In 2022 she moved to Stuttgart to continue her training at the John Cranko School, from which she graduated in summer 2026.

In the 2026/27 season Luana Pop is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
