Yerin Ok was born in Seoul, South Korea. She began her ballet education at the Yewon School Seoul. During this time she successfully participated in several competitions. In 2019 she reached the second place at the YGP Korea. At the Korea International Ballet Competition 2021 she won the silver medal. At the Youth America Grand Prix 2022 (International Virtual Competition) she won the third prize and at the finals in Tampa the second prize. She also won a scholarship for the John Cranko School.

With this scholarship she attended the John Cranko School in Stuttgart in 2022 and graduated in summer 2026.

In the 2026/27 season Yerin Ok is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
