They know exactly how it is to perform movements. But coming up with the steps themselves, let alone developing a complete piece, is something completely different. At Noverre: Young Choreographers, dancers of the Stuttgart Ballet and guests from outside the company can try their hand at creating dances - without any pressure to succeed. More than 60 years ago, Fritz Höver, the founder of the Noverre Society, and John Cranko created the now legendary platform for young choreographers. Since then, numerous artists have found their calling by creating their first works here. Be it John Neumeier, Jiří Kylián and William Forsythe or the younger generation Christian Spuck, Marco Goecke, Bridget Breiner and Demis Volpi - they all discovered their profession at Noverre: Young Choreographers. The evening also holds discoveries in store for the audience: surprising movement languages, innovative ideas and choreographers who are, perhaps, the future of dance.
