Julian Mirkia was born in Oakton, Virginia/ USA. In 2010 he started dancing Hip-Hop, Jazz, tap, breakdance and ballet at the school Encore Performance. 2013 he began his ballet education at the Skye Ballet Center, 2015 he went to the Academy of Russian Ballet, in 2018 he attended the CityDance Conservatory, Maryland. During this time he successfully participated in several competitions. In 2018 he won the bronze medal at the World Ballet Grand Prix die Bronzemedaille, in 2024 he was a finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals.

In 2024 he came to Stuttgart to studay at the John Cranko School from which he graduated in summer 2026.

In the 2025/2026 season Simon Tischler is an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet.
